For over 25 years Hugh has maintained a presence and remained at the forefront of Street Theatre in Ireland and beyond. In the last 10 years this has mostly been led in the guise of charismatic Jitterbug Jackson, most recently in the successful street show, I Used to Dream of Rocket Ships. A show that with its perfect blend of circus, comedy, theatre, music and song surely represents almost every facet of Hugh’s imagination. The show has successfully toured all over the country and beyond, also representing Ireland in the Street Performance World Championships in 2011. Hugh is also renowned for his walkabout work, performing on stilts, unicycle or as a roaming entertainer. Whatever skill the client chooses is best for their event they are guaranteed a performance perfectly pitched for the occasion and filled with charm and energy.

It is a highly interactive audio/visual solo variety performance led by the irrepressible Jitterbug Jackson which involves a range of artistic disciplines including circus, comedy, poetry, music, electronics, science and song. A show that is always unique and site specific in its ability to challenge the conventions of space and time, it asks its audience to ponder on the endless possibilities that life offers, think about our dreams and ambitions and ultimately celebrate where we are right here and right now.
